Release Notes for PACER-enabling Applications

Below you can find release notes for the latest release for all the PACER-enabling applications that impact public users. PACER-enabling applications are Authentication UI and API, PACER Case Locator UI and API, Account Registration and Management, and PACER website.

 

April 2026 

Manage My Account 

  • Added links to Multifactor Authentication (MFA) user resources for each MFA method on the Multifactor Authentication Methods page in Manage My Account to provide easy access to MFA learning aids and videos
  • Added the ability for PACER account holders to create custom security questions  

National Login 

  • User interface enhancement to the messaging on the One-Time Passcode pop-up of the National Login page to include a link to learning aids and videos for logging in with a one-time passcode 

     

February 2026 

National Login 

  • User interface enhancement to the messaging on the account status [what is the name of the pop-up] pop-up of   the National PACER Login page to clarify that PACER search access, and not CM/ECF privileges, is inactive  

     

December 2025

Authentication

  • User interface enhancements to Multifactor Authentication tool tips

PACER Case Locator

  • Updated Region drop-down list in the PACER Case Locator's Advanced Case Search and Advanced Party Search interfaces

Manage My Account

  • Provided PACER Administrative Account (PAA) holders the ability to view if PAA sub-accounts users have been granted CM/ECF privileges

 

October 2025

Authentication

  • User interface enhancements to Multifactor Authentication prompt messaging
  • Provided users with CM/ECF-level access (e.g., filers, interested parties, etc.) the ability to reset their own password without contacting the PACER Service Center if their search status becomes inactive due to search inactivity 

Manage My Account

  • Provided PACER Administrative Account (PAA) holders the ability to view if PAA sub-account users are enrolled in MFA

 

September 2025

Authentication

  • Increased the number of authentication apps allowed per user from 5 to 10 apps
  • User interface enhancements to Multifactor Authentication prompt messaging

  • Resolved an issue on the CM/ECF Release Notes page that prevented proper sorting by Date of Release
